Greetings Amistad!

Remember that our gathering this week will be on Saturday, May 1 at 5 p.m. for Shalaun's Birthday Party!! NO FRIDAY gathering unless some of us decide to go out to supper at Applebee's IF Katrina's working that evening.

Here's the tentative schedule for our Agape Meal gatherings during May. Check the website for updates!

Saturday, May 1 -- Shalaun's Second Birthday Party!!! 5 p.m. at Katrina's mom's home, 421 Willamette (off Alamo Drive) in Vacaville. I'll buy a simple gift (picture book, probably) from Amistad. Let's express our gratefulness to God that this delightful young person is a part of our circle of friends!

Friday, May 7 -- we'll gather for our Agape Meal supper 'n communion, then watch and reflect on the new UCC video ad, "The Language of God". If God is still speaking, what language is it? What is God saying? How does God communicate with us (and how do we communicate with God?)

Friday, May 14 -- an early Pentecost "wind and fire" observance :)

Friday, May 21 -- thanks to Terry and Kathy for their ushering credits, we'll go on-the-road to Solano Community College Theatre's presentation of "Thoroughly Modern Millie" at the Campus Theatre. We'll go out to supper together first at La Cabaña in Suisun City, then carpool to the college for the show. (As usual, Amistad pays the tab and people can put into our basket as much or as little as they can afford. Nobody stays away for lack of funds!!) We're trying to get a head count on this, so please let me or Terry know if you think you'll join us.

Sunday, May 30 -- Agape Meal Picnic in the Park, 5 - 7 p.m. at Alamo Creek Park behind our home on Brookside Drive.

Also, between now and Pentecost the Amistad website will be featuring photos from the Hubble Space Telescope's first 20 years -- check it out!!
